RedBravo65 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 High gents, just got IL-2 BOS and am enjoying it very much. Been using prankster's excellent guide to the mission editor to learn how to work with this superb tool. Have learned much already from his guide however he has a little section on single player. Bit confused in how to set up a wingman for myself in a test mission I use to learn from. He is there on the runway with me and I have a target link from him to me but that is all. When I take off he just sits there and stays on the runway. What am I missing here? How do I get a wingman in single player to take off with me and fly in formation? Do I need to actually set up waypoints for my own flight as well?
samson Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) My guess you need place a "fakefield" object on a map, create linked entity, ADJUST fakefield's chart and give your pair a "take off" command. Then, your wingman will follow you while taxiing and take off. Edited February 23, 2016 by samson
Jade_Monkey Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 What they said, or even easier: give yourself at least one waypoint (that has to be triggered by a misssion begin for example) and then the wingman will follow you.
RedBravo65 Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 Thanks gentlemen. I'll try this out.
RedBravo65 Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 It works as advertised. Thank you very much gentlemen!
