Quax Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I get an error reading my missions with the editor since the last patch. Perhaps I just didn´t get an easy solution to this problem ?
Sim Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Binary mission file format was changed in the new update. Delete .msnbin file (but leave .Mission file). Load that .Mission file in the editor and re-save and it should work.
TP_Jacko Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Thanks I just started to get back into mission building and found the same problem. I could fly the old mission in an MP server but it would not load it to the Editor.
JimTM Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 You can automatically resave all the missions in a folder (including all subfolders). In the Tools menu, choose "Resave All Missions in Folder". If you have a lot of missions in a folder, the resave could take awhile. I tried it on a folder with close to 2,000 files and it took about 10 or 15 minutes.
No601_Prangster Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I found that for some reason deleting the .msnbin and re-saving didn't work with my SP missions. I solved it by opening the .mission in notepad and manually deleting the player plane reference. Change this line: PlayerConfig = "LuaScripts\WorldObjects\Planes\il2m42.txt"; so that it reads PlayerConfig = ""; save the .mission file and open it in the mission editor.
No601_Swallow Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Yep. But the "Resave all missions" tool in the "Tools" menu is really handy (although it took a long time for mine - an hour plus). I "Resaved all groups" as well. Just in case.
