1CGS LukeFF Posted February 15, 2016 1CGS Posted February 15, 2016 A neat feature of the game currently missing from PWCG is the ability to toggle the altimeter between the altitude above the airfield and the altitude above sea level. This would really nice thing to add to the app. 1
Yogiflight Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 In my 110 and 190 it still worked right now. I allways fly with altitude above sea level.

PatrickAWlson Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Is there a mission parameter or mission MCU that controls this?
Monostripezebra Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) In the aneroid-altimeters you don´t "toggle" anything. You adjust the scale to a pressure value. That can be a measure value on an airfield (so you "zero" for that empirical value and the airfield becomes "ground") or you set a "standard athmosphere" setting for the hyphothetical sealevel (today 1013,25 hPa or 29,92 inHg) then, there also mixes of the two, like measuring the pressure at the airfield and adjusting the value in accordance to standard athmosphere behaviour to relative sea level It is however VERY important to notice that these two modes have implications: a) standard athmosphere setting allows for comparison of altitude with other aircraft but NOT with any actual train features b) empirically measured values (at certain terrain points like an airfield) allow for relation to terrain, but not relation to other aircraft who may have different settings flying from other locations/airfields. I'm simply referring to how the game models it.
1CGS LukeFF Posted February 17, 2016 Author 1CGS Posted February 17, 2016 Is there a mission parameter or mission MCU that controls this? Not sure. The only suggestion I can make right now about finding out how it works is to set up and then save a quick mission, and have a look at how it's done there. It works there all the time.
