Porkins Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 The last two times I tried playing BoS, my HOTAS went wacky. I use a Thrustmaster HOTAS, and it has worked fine up until now. The issue is mainly with my HAT. I use it to turn my pilot's head. The last two times I've booted the game up it only works in 3 directions, but won't turn the pilot's head up. I also have mapped the zoom function to buttons on my throttle, and they don't work anymore. I've tried remapping everything and it has had no effect. Any ideas what this could be and how to fix it? Software or hardware? Thanks!
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Have you rebooted the computer? See in the Control Panel if the stick is working well. I have a HOTAS T-Flight, it acts up once in a while but all that is needed is an unplug-plug and that's that.
=CFC=Conky Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Hi Porkins, This happens to me on occasion with my CH setup but it's usually because I've got another game profile loaded. I know it's not much help but you never know. Good hunting, =CFC=Conky
Porkins Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 Thanks all. Tried rebooting, no avail. Will keep trying.
macro1 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 same problem, last night played CLOD for first time in ages and tonight loaded up BOS and no joystick, works fine in calibration etc but not in game. gong to try a system re start and see if that helps
Porkins Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 For anyone interested, still have not been able to fix this. The stick works fine with CLOD, but the HAT and a couple of buttons on the stick that have to do with looking around and zooming simply don't work with BoS. Tried remapping, no avail.
macro1 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 mine needed a remapping, hassle and today it did it again. Never had a problem before 3 weeks ago or so. Very irritating
macro1 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 this is getting bad! now its happening each time I unplug my stick! never a problem since the game game out and now all the time. Would be real good if someone comes up with a fix for this that isnt making a separate profile. Some how it was working to save the settings in game so why the random delete?
LLv24_Zami Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I had to remap joystick in BoS yesterday. I have X-52 as Joy0 and Saitek Pedals as Joy1. Everything was suddenly changed from Joy0 to Joy1 in the settings. I don`t know if this has something to do with Win10 but it was weird.
macro1 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 If all the settings appear in the settings list in game, and it's just a case of joy0 being changed to joy1, is there a way to simply tell it which joy is which and have it re set itself ? Where do you see the joy0 joy1 list? Regards

Where do you see the joy0 joy1 list? Regards Not sure what you mean but I can see joy0 on all joystick axes/buttons in the settings/key mapping menu. And all of these were changed to joy1 which is designation of my pedals. I remapped all joystick related functions and they appear as joy0 again.
13Nrv Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 "I don`t know if this has something to do with Win10 but it was weird." It will not solve your problem ; but , i ve experienced this thing several times both with win 7 X64 and Win 10 X64 , Last time was friday , just before Friday Night Bomber Flight so i ve not been able to fly ... It s not a Win 10 specific problem ...and i still have no clue to solve it except remapping all keys ... And it s not only with Bos , i ve also experiment the same thing with Assetto Corsa ... and yes it s weird !

No clue what's the cause. Maybe just some random USB errors.
LLv24_Zami Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Happened again. I started BoS tonight and noticed that my X-52 wasn`t responding at all. I checked Windows devices and it showed that joystick was not connected, only rudder pedals were working. So started a Windows again and everything seemed normal. Launched BoS and all X-52 key mappings had changed from joy0 to joy1 again. So I think this is a Windows issue after all, it just doesn`t always recognize all attached controllers. And when BoS is started it maps everything to the only available controller which is in my case the pedals. Maybe now I remember to check from Windows devices that X-52 is working before launching BoS. Pretty annoying bug
GrendelsDad Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 This happens to me if i leave my XBOX one controller plugged in...unplug it and start game and its back to normal...I know its a stretch but worth a shot
