Can you add 190A8 and next planes when they are released ?

This is more than one week the plane is available and i can't wait anymore to try it on this specific server... ;)

This server is good for practicing the new planes, please add FW 190 A8.

Thanks!!

You don't need a link/IP, open the Multiplayer section in the game. The server is listed there.

Newb here, many thanks for allowing me become serial gun fodder and learn in the process. Few friendly fires, now visuals on everything, I learn as I go along, today first time two kills in one sortie, nothing like a clean dewinging in high G situation, deflection shooting can be a real challenge. I am getting the hang of the Bf-109F, the stabilizer axis now minimal deflection, the wonderful MFG pedals allow for rapid corrections for Spitfire matching turning, after which I bleed speed and become Yak fodder. Oh well:) FPS run 118 steady, TrackIR such a relief after the struggle with VR.

In the NE USA this is the only server with lower pings, no maniacal rules ("you can't fly the 109" cuz you need to get Stuka hours or buy your plane), and a bunch of folks just interested in fun.

MANY THANKS TO THE CONSTANT "HELPERS",  almost every time my inaccurate gunnery establishes a smoke trail on a bogey it is like a dinner bell, die kameraden come out of nowhere to claim the victory, I get the "assist" role.

You separated 1941 aircraft from the rest.. Please separate Bodenplatte aircraft from the rest. For crying out loud, people are flying the G-14's and A-5's to 6000m in a dogfight server because they have to deal with the clipped winged Spitfire (unless they're from the JG clan because they still go to 6000m in the 1941 spawn in a dogfight server)! Please, for the love of God, give Bodenplatte their own spawn area, not 1941!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P-40 and 202 Meatball shooter, they can compete with Kuban, but Bodenplatte planes are absolutely ridiculous. Since the Bodenplatte planes came out in this server, it's been 100% cancer.

May I ask to put the rest of the planes there as well? The 110 is still a fighter. Also the Peshka has forward guns. The A20 can maneuver remarkably well.

Having Bodenplatte aircraft in a separate venue is a very good idea. The Spit IX is just too much, as well as the G14. The dogfight setting makes the 190‘s performance less pronounced but still it would be good single the A8 out as well.

I thought it did a couple of weeks ago but all the in game  stats (Mission Results) seem blank over the last few days and it doesn't record my kills. Do you have same problems?

Yes, kills are not reported lately. But I am glad that server is alive, even without kill count.

How to reload on Berloga server? After few fights I'm out of ammo. Tried to land on my air filed or wait to menu, but was punished for this... Asked players but none respond.

I know, it is some kind of weird, but actually if you land on a landing strip, you will be punished because you apparently abort the mission.

I'll give you a tip: Try to stay at least 5 Min. in the air and if you are out of ammo or slightly damaged, try to make a belly landing. Because

if you're lucky this belly landing will be taxed as a forced landing and your points will be multiplied by 2.0. Sometimes, your belly landing

will be taxed as a crash landing and your result will be multiplied by 1.5.

You see, strange situation, but it's like this at the moment.

Thank you. Really strange but at least I know what I'm standing on ;)

Just started with IL2 BOS and found this server - tough but I really like it.

Anyone know what to do when you run out of ammo - can you land somewhere and rearm?

Posted

No rearm base, so if you run out of ammo you just respawn. Its quick DF/duel server with no bases to land on, just bail out, crash or land on any strip you see and refly if your into landings under fire.

Great server for practice. Would be great if there was a stats page tho!

No it wouldn't

Why do you need it? have fun

Last thing you need is a decent server being ruined by stat whores.....

That happens and people start gaming the game to protect a number, people will start leaving

There is a repair/refuel/rearm feature recently released which allows servers to set up areas with rearming points pilots can go to. But it has proven to be somewhat unstable so most servers don't run it. Knights of the Air has it running, I don't know who else.

Since Berloga doesn't really track stats there's no issue with just bailing out or whatever. There are a couple airstrips around on Berloga so if I can I try and land at them, but it doesn't do anything special, just makes me feel like a real pilot lol.

Hi Guys, I am new to this sim, really enjoy it. My compliments to the developers.

May I ask someone why the late model BF 109, g4 to k4 have been modeled with such fragile engines?

I am aware one can not operate their engines at high power settings for long, but while playing with the engine set at 85% I  get a sudden and destructive engine failure every single time. Coolant temp does not yet reach 100"c then  bang!,no more engine. This makes these fighters very uncompetitive in my view, and one is very easily overcome by P51 and Spitfire mk9. I might also be doing something wrong.

@Butherbird

You have 1 minute of emergency on 109 g-4 up to the g-6. 85% is emergency. It breaks after that timer. On g-14 and k-4 it is 3 minutes at 85% and your engine takes damage. those timers are just how it‘s modeled in game

Devs still didnt fix messages that are in game to inform player that he should stop using emergancy combat power setting, or when its recharged. So you cant know when game wonts you to stop using it , real pilots didnt have to worry that their engine will blow up if they go over recomended times so there was no timers needed but in game when Devs decided for this to be so stricked they have to fix messages that are in game (they are buged and only work when instrument panel is on, not like all other techmessages that work all time no mather of settings in realisam options).

So until they fix this your basicly have airplanes with random failures as there is no way for you to know that game wonts you to stop using emergancy or combat or more importantly that its fantasy recharged like in mario games.  Stick to airplanes without emergancy timers is your best bet.

On g14 and K4 emergancy is 10min last time i check, but again if they dont fix buged tech chat messages regarding this players will always be confused and not be able to use airplanes like they are ment to be used, they will either avoid random failur airplanes or not use power settings to max alowed because of fear of braking engines what is totaly unrealistic as thouse timers were recomendations and real pilots didnt care if they stic to them... when we have them in game because its game then players deserve to be properly informed when to stop or get recharg for it like all other 42069 tech chat mesages that work.

It only is 10 minutes on 100% due to mw50. If you just go below 100% and still above 84% you have 3 minutes. The plane specs don‘t say that sadly.

Yes your right, good forbid devs inform their players how they made engines work in game, or fix bugs that would help them know when to stop using power settings. This is prime example why techchat messages informing player when emergancy is out is neccesary to work corectly, how in heck can player know why his engine blow up when spec for it say it can use it 10min , if bugged techchat messages work corectly in game this would be obvious, but we need to have messages that tell us that canopy is open (something that even blined person can tell by the sound of wind when you open it) but no working messages for engine timers that are more important by the way devs decided to use them in game and are most dangerous for your airplane if you screw them up by counting min wrong in heat of battle, something that real pilots didnt have to worry about.

Thanks for the reply Guys, I understand. I feel this is unfortunate as I cant seem to fly a Bf109 or FW 190 against the P51, Spitfire Mk9, Tempest or P38 on equal footing. The Fw190 d9 fairs well against them, and I have scored victories against, but only when enemy is surprized.

I think the D9 especially is slower in the sim, as a surviving Luftwaffe pilot stated the D9 easily exceeded 600km/h at altitude with manifold press set at 1.2 ata.I barely manage 480km/h at 1.5 ata.
