After BOM,What would You Like next ?

Hi all !.Jason responded to a post in another thread " We have not decided what comes next " (not verbatim, I know),but that was the jist of it.

So lets use this thread to tell the Devs what We want next and more importantly, what we will shell out the cash for. The reality is that BOS/BOM  that we have now  is pretty much IT apart from a few more DDs and updates. It is what it is .

So this is where we are all at .

Please don't turn this thread  into a "I want", "I deserve", " I paid already and I want more '', "the Fms are wrong and there is no COOP so you are not getting any more of my money ! thread. Take that grievance to the appropriate thread.

So before we go to speculation about  the Next "Theater" I will put my hand up to pay $50 for a good BOS single-player campaign. DCS and others are charging for the work put into creating content.

Before you get on your High Horse and say "I bought BOS so "I" should,nt have to PAY for a SP Campaign..I say this, I bought OFP,I bought Arma..Does that mean I don't have to Pay for Arma 2 and Arma 3 !.... I bought DCS so I shouldnd have to Pay for NTRR or Red Flag ? So many people "Want".

Do you want Finland, Kursk or  god forbid the Pacific  ? If you do Tell the Devs that you are Willing to Pay.

Here is the bottom line (as I see it ). Next installment of BOS/BOM is going to come down to sales/numbers !

Use this thread to tell the Devs what YOU would like Next and what YOU will PAY !

ITs commonsense in todays world that we all live in.

I am not going to Respond to this thread, because I can already see some "Angry Responses". The people that don't accept reality !.(and want more for Free, Entitlement ,Axe to Grind, etc) .

Please respond to this thread with What you want and how much you are willing to pay for the Devs to work on it !

Jason may even read this thread after a lot of replies !

At the moment I'm very happy with the sim. PWCG makes it even more enjoyable.

I think it is so well made that at the moment I'm willing to purchase anything they throw at us, just to support this team of devs and publishers.

 

What I'd like to see is a plane that can and will need to be landed on a carrier. If that means the Med ot the PTO, I don't care, but carrier ops in this sim seems like a great thing to me.

The payment is irrelevant to me, as the number of hours I've already spend on this sim are countless, so the money per time unit is neglectable.

It would be the first time in the flight sim history (Sierra would have the first one if......) and with this engine, a North Africa addon would be insane. Nice planeset too, with Trop 109 ecc. ecc.. Macchi 202 is alreay in.

 

It would be a strategic decision, at least for my opion off course.

What I would like to see next is a Full Stop.

 

As a Mission Writer, the updates make working on new content sometimes difficult to gauge.

 

As it is also sometimes difficult to revise older missions, sometimes "breaking" entire projects.

 

Don't misread me, the updates and improvements have been INCREDIBLY on target and enhancing the product at every turn so far.

 

 

It is there, that I whole heartedly submit that the Developers have earned the right from us, to take breather from the assembly line for a bit.

 

They have succeeded in creating a stellar CFS for us. The lack of players is not entirely on their shoulders, the internet has 1,000's of competing offerings.

 

If anything it is upon our shoulders, to promote the hobby that we love, to support our Developers further financially, and to be patient in their productions.

 

So my two cents in hand, take a vacation gentlemen, give us time to absorb, learn, disseminate, and enjoy the distillation of what we already have acquired.

 

Otherwise, play your own set list and ignore the drunk guys screaming "Freebird"! If I like what I see I will purchase a ticket and take the next train to Clarksville.

Like jeanba pointed out this thread is just a duplicate. All you are doing is spreading the ideas into different threads. If the devs decide read them to get a feel of what the community wants, they will have to search all over the place.

I would be happy to see Med or Pacific if they took that direction

 

However i do like the idea that BoS/Bom is beginning to get a decent complete planeset, for example a 1942 Pacific scenario would be great, we already have a P-40 but everything else would have to be new and the Pacific theater would remain small in scope for at least a few years

 

Only in my opinion the next add on needs to complement what we have already rather than be totally new alongside it

 

For example Murmansk can add in new features, shipping attack operations and Aircraft Carriers and a few popular Western aircraft as well as a spectacular scenic Map useful for a long campaign for missions

 

Later you will have more assets that can be used when a new theater is introduced, HMS Victorious was used in Arctic, Med and far East

 

anyway that is just a generalised (my) opinion, complement what we have now rather than starting all afresh, would Hurricane operations of a Carrier be enough to keep western pilots interest? until enough assets are present to do Med full justice and give a complete experience rather than a fragmented one

 

Also it is always going to be easier/faster for many obvious reasons  for Dev's to continue to work in a Russian Campaign (language and access to info)

 

Re campaigns i think the best thing would be to somehow fully incorporate PWCG into the base game, although I understand it is not as simple as one would hope

 

I think this thread could possibly be merged into one of the other ones

To echo Dakpilot, and dust off a thought, an actual "Expansion Pack" of effects, static and or dynamic scenery objects (*animations), sounds, elements of the like.

Padding out these already great products in that way, either as an outright Kickback or Boon to the customers if that would be fiscally doable, or as a small $ DLC.

@Luke FF( .... Face).Your are a sarcastic man (person)....I made my OP with the best motivations in trying to get a consensus amongst players about what "they would like and be willing to Pay". My logic is "Maybe the Devs would read " and put together Next BO...with input from the community to assess Sales numbers....To Me , that is a constructive Post.

I don't read every topic in the Forum every Day. I come in and Check DDs and  sometimes FM discussion !

Actually it flew in the hot and sunny Black Sea coast, with I-16s. The picture shows Polikarpov I-5s on top, two I-16s under the wing and finally a Grigorovich I-Z underneath. This particular beast was a crazy one - its armament consisted of one PV-1 (run of the mill 7.62mm gun that predated the ShKAS) and two underwing single-shot 76.2mm rifles, which the designer found was a fitting solution to bring down all-metal aircraft with self-sealing fuel tanks.

 

Surprisingly, the zveno project with I-16s was a major success in its 30 missions, only being cancelled in 1942 because the I-16 was showing its age by then, and the TB-3 was so hopelessly outclassed it couldn't be relied upon anymore.
