Sokol1 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) The monotonous "auto start-up" have a "bug" that stop the engine if mixture control is not set different from 0 before hit "E". Curious is, if you open the radiators before hit "E", the dammed script close then and you notice when the engine fail... After several failed start-up and the need to await the inverted sequence before try again, a way to deal with without forget. I set LAlt+E for start engine (LAlt is the safety lock cap ) and in mixture adjust - in new box - add E for increase mixture, for decrease the same key already set. In my case result: Mixture: 9,0 and 9, E. So, press E and after LAlt move the mixture from 0 position and start the engine. For the game don't mater if press LAlt then E or E then LAlt. 71st_AH_Mastiff Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) so I will think you have a axis problem then with your keyboard, have no idea what gear you're running, as I only advance my Z axis wheel 100% and then press E and have no issues. you maybe having keyboard issues then if that's what you're using. ACII language. so you might want to make sure you have a compatible keyboard for your language? Edited February 17, 2016 by 71st_Mastiff
=362nd_FS=RoflSeal Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I don't see why the devs can't make the mixture stay there. It's not impossible as in the P-40 the mixture stays at 66% after startup and doesn't wind down to 0
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Take-off settings are part of the DD120 improvements as far as I know, this should be addressed
Sokol1 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 so I will think you have a axis problem then with your keyboard, Well, the only "problem" with my keyboard is, he don't have axis. Why I set the keys in that way, as I already use Alt+E to start engine (the Alt is to avoid accidental engine off) start use "E+Alt" was easy, to don't need bother with mixture adjust before hit the keys (what you do with you Z axis), because if are a script for "auto-startup" the only thing that player need do is press the key(s) for initiate the script (e.g. the DCS "magic" Win+Home), not set this or that before. Is not need set throttle X% open, open fuel, turn battery, magnets, open or close radiators... before hit "E", why should be need set mixture? Something is broken with the script. Specially for "new players" this can be a confuse thing.
