New Track IR Software V 5.4 fixes incorrect P State on Nvidia GPU

Hey gang,

Just a heads up in case you are not aware.

Previous version of Track IR software had a bug, in where with the software running it would lower the power state of the Nvidia GPU. This would affect the memory clock on the GPU, for instance on my GTX 970 with the stock memory clock was around 3500 mhz, once TIR software started and running, the memory clock would lower the P state to 3000 mhz.

I am not sure what all series of Nvidia GPU's was affected, certainly the 900 series was. You can check it yourself by monitoring your memory clock before TIR is running, and while it is running.

I along with some others reported this bug on the Natural Point forums earlier, and they have included a fix for it in the latest 5.4.0 software which was released yesterday. I have tested it this morning, and my memory clock stays at full power state as it should.

In addition apparantly they finally fixed the issue when assigning buttons directly, the joystick buttons between devices is differentiated properly as well.

Thanks for the heads up. My Titan Xs were running 3305 with the older software version, now both are running 3508 with the new update. Appreciate you posting this.

That is very strange, you did uninstall the previous version prior to installing the new?
