Asgar Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) close your window. as was said in this very thread about 2 million times Edited April 12, 2016 by 6./ZG26_Asgar 1
Yogiflight Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 It is not only with open window. Sulaco is right, sometimes it just happens during flight. I had it in my last campaign mission and the first, of course, I checked was the window, but it was closed. I changed through the positions and when I came back to the position, where I had the problem, it now worked correctly.
Froddi_VR Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Hello! anybody know if its possible to use the mg wich is used by the bombardier, by the pilot in its fixed forward position?
RCAF-De_Havilland Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Hello! anybody know if its possible to use the mg wich is used by the bombardier, by the pilot in its fixed forward position? nope, unfortunately not
Froddi_VR Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 nope, unfortunately not Alright, thanks for your answer
ShamrockOneFive Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Thanks for the discussion RE: He111 and Ju88! The Ju88 seemed to be the one to me, on paper, but dealing with combat damage and limping home a damaged bomber is a legitimate thing too!
Asgar Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 in my experience the 88 is a lot more sturdy than the Heinkel
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 From the firing end, so far I feel that the Ju-88 is more vulnerable to minor damage (damaged engines, fuel tank leaks and the likes) while the He-111 is more vulnerable to catastrophic damage. In practice, if I get a couple of snapshots on a Junkers I can destroy an engine, pierce the fuel tanks and work my way through there, but long bursts don't make that much of a difference. On the though He-111 snapshots don't do much but the second I get a good burst into one it starts to fall apart. One thing that caught my eye is that, compared to the He-111, the defensive armament on the Ju-88 is really puny. Comparing the field of fire: If you add a slight lateral element to it you can come in at a relatively gentle angle and start pulling the trigger from far out, allowing you to hit a good 3 second burst without risk of return fire. For the adventurous ones, if you take too long to pull up after the first pass you can start a zoom climb with the nose 90º up and get a decent snapshot at the belly without being at risk. I've found that attacking a He-111 needs you to be more 'creative' if you must.
Asgar Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 but you shouldn't forget. it's harder to get into a good postion when attacking the 88. It's going a lot faster than the 111 and most people that tried to attack our formations ended up on our tails or other good firing postions for our gunners. (that's just my personal experience so far)
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 You are very right, one needs to come in fast otherwise you slide straight into the guns and there stuff gets ugly.
Plurp Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 nope, unfortunately not Bug, or soon to be added feature? as the gun is fixed for firing forward and there is a button (trigger) in the middle of the yoke.
I./ZG1_Badger1-1 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Bug, or soon to be added feature? as the gun is fixed for firing forward and there is a button (trigger) in the middle of the yoke. if you pull the trigger( as pilot, normal gun trigger as in all the other planes, not bomb release), you hear a clicking noise in the 88...but I cant figure out whats clicking! I´ve searched the whole cockpit for it... Edited April 13, 2016 by I./JG21-HeTzeR
