SqwkHappy Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 ... So I've noticed the headrest removal mod doesn't remove the headrest, it removes the top lip of the headrest that goes slightly above your head... I'm assuming this is intentional, however misleading....

Finkeren Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 That was the only part of the headrest commonly removed. You'll be hard pressed to find photographic evidence of post-1940 109s with no headrest.
Wulf Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) I doubt it's intentional. More like sloppy in-game nonmenclature The 'upper or top head-plate' might be a more accurate description of the object in question (the removable bit). The head armour fitted to 109s of this period consists of two plates and what I suspect is a bit of padding to reduce the potential for head injuries (during a crash or while engaged in violent maneuvering). This isn't a headrest in any real meaning of the term although it may have been so described from time to time. It's just armour with protective padding applied to it in the same way that the padding above the instrument panel in the 190 isn't a headrest either- it's protective padding. I doubt very much whether anyone in their right mind would seek permission to remove both head plates. To do so would be indicative of underlying suicidal tendencies or perhaps a propensity for 'self-harming'. Edited February 6, 2016 by Wulf
SqwkHappy Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 More like sloppy in-game nomenclature I wasn't too sure, but I am now. Thanks everyone.
