Hi Community!

I recently started playing BoS and am quite impressed by the gameplay details, especially compared to WT Sim battles. However, as in every Flight Sim i have played so far, I still lack proper Camera controls, or in this case: Head movement controls. I have a working FaceTrackNoIR setup which is everything but smooth, and I'm tired of pushing the cursor on my x52 to turn my virtual head.

Any ideas or tips for Head movement in general? I would also try to use that not only for BoS, but also WT or IL2 1946, so any suggestion goes!

Forget about FacenotrackIR and get some form of IR tracking, either TrackIR or alternatives like Delanclip or TrackHat (or you can make your own). Those are by far the best options.

I personally use a TrackHat Clip which works well.

Dear RoflSeal, I have the Trackhat, just purchased it but I can't seem to tweak it to give me the same smooth head movement that one frequently sees on YouTube videos. I suspect I've so mangled up the profile settings that unless someone comes to my rescue I'm toast. Is it possible to share profiles (I think it is) and could I have yours and hopefully micromanage any differences to something usable, please? Or in the alternative, could you supply any useful tips on how to get out of my rut? I'm sorry Mordrach if this sounds like I'm hijacking your thread. Cheers all.

I don't know, my profile maps are pretty much linear, but what I did is go to the options and tweek with the Camera>Threshold setting and the Filter settings

My threshold setting is slightly right of the 2nd notch on the left

and my Filter settings are

Smoothing 96ms

Sensitivity 3.3 deg

Deadzone 0.22 deg

Sensitivity 1.3mm

Deadzone 0.11mm

Thanks RoflSeal, will implement ASAP and hopefully get things in shape for the air-war. Thanks once again.

What camera are you using? Tweaking the camera settings is just as important. I think TrackHat is just a different version of opentrack, which is what I use.
