83_Gen_Jeroen Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I tried out night flying and was wondering if there are runway lights to guide you while take off and landing. Do they have to be activated by request or command?
Bando Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 When returning after a flight after sunset, the ground crew will light flares to mark the start of the runway and oil drums will be lit to mark the first half of the runway. You cannot turn this on or off.

How you set night - dark, I suppose - that make runway lights needed? I my game night is always to clear, with miles of visibility, which makes the lights without purpose...

(By the way, the presence of runway lights depends on the mission builder. There are lots of ways you could trigger them, including [i think, I haven't tried it, but I think it might work - was Coconut or Jupp working on this at one time? - firing a flare from your aircraft]. The lights in the campaign missions turn on via a proximity trigger.) Edited February 1, 2016 by No601_Swallow
