I recently had to use system restore, and now when i start the program it informs me to update the program which i can not do because upon starting the program the red band at the bottom says play

James, I'm in the same boat. But I've been told here on the forums to boot from the game launcher located in the game folder and not from the desktop icon. I haven't tried that yet cos of pub power outage. But I suggest you give it a swing and let us know if that helps.

You have to delete some version file or something. It's an old problem, look in the forums.

I’m having problems since the 1.107 update too!

 

Before this update, the game ran smoothly. Since the update I’ve been having flickering on the log-on screen and then going to a black screen --  which I have to manually shut down the computer and then restart – just to get back to desktop. I’ve also tried Ctl/Alt/Del and still have a black screen. Obviously I haven’t been able to play the game since update 1.107.

 

I’ve got Windows 7 64 bit, IR5 and a Radeon 280X video card with the latest 16.1 Crimson drivers. So I updated to the latest IR5 drivers 5.3.0 and it didn’t help.

 

I then tried this: on the game launcher, in Settings, I cleared the "Seed when downloaded" check box and selected the "Prefer web distribution" check box in the "Settings" tab. It didn’t help so I rechecked the Seed when downloaded" box again and cleared the "Prefer web distribution" check box

 

Is there a way to revert back to the last update 1.106 -- which ran fine for me?

I had to uninstall and reinstall from the main paige once or twice when it refused to update. But I would google that question, since there can be a easier fix.

You cannot run a earlier version, or more correctly you can only actually use latest version. I do not think you can fly offline with previous version of the game
