-TBC-AeroAce Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) I have a background in Physics and Engineering and want to share some fun, challenging and thought provoking activities with the community. So the first thing I thought of was Newton's law that states .... For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction..... But what does this really mean? I hope to show you all. My challenge to you all is to sit at a normal office chair(the type that can revolve 360 degrees). With only your own physical ability (aka no rockets, rubber bands or whatever else) try to propel yourself the most amount of turns. Feet cant touch the ground and in theory the base of the chair needs to be solid (so any real shacky bases will be discounted) Weights are allowed but potential energy gains are not. The game is all about who can rotate the most in 2 mins Please all try this for fun and an understanding of physics but.... Any one that submits a video of themselves trying this will be put into a race. The winner will get PREM BOS or BOM!!!! second will get standard ..... Or ... Edited January 31, 2016 by [TBC]AeroACE
Feathered_IV Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Fantastic. I just gave it a try, and if I can suggest an added challenge: Have people weigh themselves before beginning, then do this "experiment" twice a day for a week. Then measure their new weight afterwards.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I have a bad back which prevents me from destroying you all in a physical challenge
