No bias in IL2 BOS and BOM .

Some guy posted a video online about how russian planes in il2 BOS are OP as hell compared to german ones. I play only german side and that's total crap.

Sure no simulation is perfect there are always things that can be improved on both sides. But bias ? Please.

Agreed. It's mostly fair, it's down to the players now. The Germans have the best fighters, the Russians the best Ground Pounders. And where it matters the russian fighters are equal.

I saw that, kind of made me a little mad. A really popular Youtuber who mostly flies an F-15 in DCS, who I've never seen fly a Russian aircraft in this game, claims Russian bias like it's War Thunder. Unfair PR for this game is exactly what this game doesnt need right now.

"its mostly fair".

Agree. Fair and well balanced FMs. Sadly this game wants to be a simulation. And there is no room for "fair" and "balanced" in a real sim.

So all that remains here is a tad more sophisticated War Thunder. ROFL

You can always move on if you don't like the state of things here.

Please, spare yourself. Helping in development of War Thunder long ago and now looking at BoS (as well as RoF before) I can tell you that those are two different worlds. That's totally different approach to design, detail and setups. Many of the folks in War Thunder for long wished a historically correct matchups, problem non existent here since you only have aircraft that were present at that time and front.

People that feel this guy is wrong should post/unlike the vid on youtube to inform others(nicely please)

Youtube is often the first place people hear about new sims/games so talking about it here is a bit silly.

Out of interest what vid ? Link? Or is that verboten!!?

Just watched the vid and it quite funny. What the guy rants about is disproved by his own footage for the first 5 kills or so he gets. But when they cant shoot one guy down at the end that forms his whole opinion.

Very silly willy

There is no purposeful bias in our products. Each plane is researched and built according to our sources from different places including military test data etc. Any claims on this forum of such conspiracy to "balance" the sim will be deleted. We have the most detailed physics environment ever attempted in a WWII sim product and such complexities are impossible to get completely correct on a PC. Chances are through the lens of history, German planes might not have been as amazing as some claim and Soviet and Allied planes may not have been as bad as some claim. It's impossible to know for sure because the war is long over. But overall in BOS and BOM the German planes are better performers than Soviet planes as history remembers. You can nit pick about tiny details forever, but there is ZERO attempt to make them even. Any attempt to say otherwise is total nonsense.

Our product is not a casual game like WT, our flight dynamics are light years beyond WT. Just because we have presented certain parts of the product in a different way than previous "sims" takes nothing away from the physics and systems modelling.
