Error report on start up saying there is an update for your program

Today I tried to log in to fly the Sim and I get a screen that says 'There is a update for this program'  Problem is there is no button to push to start the update.  Have never seen this before.  Same if I try to log in off line.  I went into Steam and still no path to fix the problem... How can I get back to flying the Sim?????  Can you send me an e mail?  vossc531@aol.com

Yesterday the server didn't work in the middle of the day because of preparation for release of a new patch.
