What can break is the LED clip - generally due the user be careless (are 3rd part made in steel in eBay).

The head movement relative to game camera (POV) changes in the game is configurable, e.g with ~40 degrees of head movement you can check six.

Depends on what tracking clip you decide to get it to work with.

It ships with the trackclip, a passive design you have to wear on a baseball cap or so.

With extra costs, you can get a trackclip pro and this can be attached to a headset. The TC pro is active and has a wire to the device itself.

If interested, there are options for the clip, the TC pro and even the TIR itself.

I'm using TIR 5 with the TC pro for about 5 or 6 years now and all is still in one piece, so either I'm extremely careful (my wife will disagree) or the stuff can have some beating. Or it's plain luck.

People have reported they seem to break the pro clip easily.

In terms of software; there's no real challenge. Just install, use your own or someone else's profile to your liking and start the software before you start the sim. That's about it.

BTW - This  passive model (reflectors) difficult will break, is done in steel. :)

It is actually very easy to set up. Just install the software and plug it in like any other peripheral. Although there are many ways to customize the profiles. I find that the preset "Smooth" works perfectly with BoS and RoF. Those are two games I never needed any adjustment for.

Just run it. Come back with questions afterwards, if you come across issues. You kids worry too much! ;)
