Evil is in the detail. It is so nice to see the devs improve such a lot of little things that are so important.

Thx for that great work.

It's really noticeable that for once people seem more excited by corrections in FMs than by new aircraft.

Anyway, we'll get both because this dev team is so awesome: Thanks 1CGS guys :good:

1. Check and correct fineness ratios of all planes with their flaps extended;

9. Correct 'jumpy' behavior of Bf 109 F4, G2 and F2 to resemble E7 behavior and check other planes;

almost too good to be true. This could become the best update ever :)

True. And still fix climb rate at FW 190 ...  :salute:

What do you think this means exactly? I think I know what you want to say, but who knows? It also can be the complete opposite....

Nice picture of Bf109F2, but doesnt anyone think that the color of wheel spokes are still wrong? why those's color is always much lighter than the remaining part of hub?

by taking the chance of F2 releasing, Is there possible to revise the bf109  series 3d model? for example address of wrong panel lock position.

Great update!

It's good to show these long term projects once in a while, it brings down the tension, especially in some threads.

Did i miss it or there was no mention of distance and rendering planes?

Im sure a lot of people wanted a to hear from the devs regarding that issue.

I am assuming old custom skins will fit new variants...correct? :rolleyes:

Will "Official skins" have to be earned in "Official" Moscow maps campaigns with these new aircraft? :unsure:

BTW I am looking forward to better FBB effects - we waited a long time for this-thanks!

Another impressive DD. I like the fact that the team is thinking long term in their decision making. That bodes well for the future.

21. Improve force feedback effects on FFB capable joysticks (taxiing over bumpy field, ground impact when landing without landing gear);

And i was so happy, that for once in a flightsim, the stick doesn't shake around just by taxiing. That's one step in the wrong direction imho.

Everything else sounds good though.

25. Make fuel system simulation more complex (more detailed tanks system, allow player to control engine flow and control fuel amount manually, more detailed fuel leaks and self-sealing process, fire probablity based on remaining amount of fuel inert gas pressurization, external fuel tanks.

12. Set up different radio frequencies for own and enemy planes;

19. Implement smoke generators;

Very good. :)

Thumbs up !!!

Glad to see that FM refining is still ongoing.

There's also a lot of new features looking very promising.

17. Add engine detonation affect caused by a variety of causes (wron mixture, high miture temperature, engine overboost, etc. );
18. Add weapon misfires caused by overheating;
19. Develop more sophisticated high-G effects system so it will affect plane crew depending on their weariness, oxygen amount, wounds, etc.;
20. Make bailing out impossible during heavy rotations or other hard maneuvers;
21. Make pilot head movement more realistic by adding a simple spine model;
22. Add united controls for different adjustable stabilizers;
23. Make twin engine coolers on Bf 109 F4, Bf 109 G2 and Ju 87 D3 more detailed (currently always left cooler emits vapor when any radiator is damaged);

THANK YOU!

Wow!  Another really impressive update.  I really like the long term aspect of it.  More development, more scenarios, more commitment.   :salute: Team!

Very good upgrade but do not read anything about the distance vision and rendering of objects was quite low in the last update, indispensable level bomber. :huh:

Wonderful update! Wonderful that the FFB is still being worked on too! Have to keep modding the msffb2 now:)

21. Improve force feedback effects on FFB capable joysticks (taxiing over bumpy field, ground impact when landing without landing gear);
22. Correct gun fire FFB effect (it shouldn't be influenced by plane speed as it was reported to be the case on P-40)

Damn, that's a heck of a list. 2016 is looking like being a beaut!  :salute:

Wouldn't that depend on the bumpiness of the field? Stalingrad ones are pretty harsh :)

Sad I didn't see "Add bindings for engine 1 and 2 prop feathering" on the list. But I'm so happy to see a upcoming changes list. will stop some complaints.

16. Improve autolevel flight assist for non-dive bombers (He-111, Ju-88, Pe-2 s. 87 and Pe-2 s. 35) so it will use rudder instead of ailerons for corrections;

Excellent!

Wow, every Friday there is good news, great news, and this is yet another.

I really like the fact the team are "planning" and discussing, It will be exciting to see what comes after BOM.

Thank you Dev team for your continued commitment to detail, (it's outstanding to say the least), all I see here is the brightest star amongst them all.

Exactly. It just shows how deep the team is invested into this. There may be little problems here and there but they are always working on adding new content as well as improving on what we already have. I can't wait to get into these next planes! Thank you Devs!

Please fix the gunners, they die too easily for no reason at all.

As usual, Dev's Diary surprised me from the VERY positive side :-)

Many of the listed items of their TODO list for the next months are exactly aligned with what I think is a great move of il-2 BoS / BoM towards an even better platform.

I am very very glad with Han's post :-)

Agree, there's still hope.

No sim can probably be perfect, but there are a very few that are continuously evolving towards the best we can get :-)

IL-2 BoS / BoM is certainly a good example!

Hi Driftaholic. This is easy to do. Just make sure you bind some key or switch to the feathering process and press 1 or 2 for engine you want to feather and then the feathering switch or key. The other (hopefully running) engine will be unaffected.

Great to see all those improvements. But be honest most important issues are performance hogs (and VR support) which could be resolved in significant engine upgrade - i meant support for new direct X and 64 bit computations.

And why would that move the stick around?

+1 I was wondering when this would be brought up.

I guess that DirectX and 64 bit is not something the FM department does.

Very good list of planned improvements.Another proof that devs stand with both feet on the ground and do not cook out of water nor build castles out of sand.Managing new projects myself in real job I fully support their sober continuous improvement methodology. Good luck and God speed to them ;)

 Add united controls for different adjustable stabilizers;

I hope it means that we will get an axis for elevator trim :)
