We fly every Saturday at SNBF. A minimum mission time is about three hours. We always have a lot of fun. Maybe instead of trying to play the public servers come and join us. We always welcome new pilots.I have even made skin packs specific to SNBF.

I just thought I'd quote this as its as relevant now as it was six months ago.  Multiplayer is sparse, repetitive and simply lacking and the player numbers reflect this.  Single player?  Guess what....its sparse, repetitive, etc, etc.

Just a quick snap shot of multiplayer activity across popular flight sims at 11.30p.m. UK time on a Monday night - a tough time for all pc gaming I would imagine;

BoS/Bom  32 players

CLoD  34 players

RoF  27 players

DCS 154 (!!) players

IL2 1946 through crappy, outdated hyperlobby 47 players

I am playing other things.

An attitude adjustment?

I have just finished flying on a server based on the East Coast of the U.S of [Edited][ and I had a blast.

There were no more than 5 players on at any one stage, but, we were on TS, and we flew together to complete objectives.

As for the talk of aim-bot flak I have not had the same experience, I have survived plenty of hits from ground fire.

Anyway, all these whingey posts are starting to annoy me, some people need to take a concrete pill, harden the [Edited] up, or go do something they enjoy.

I won't be wasting my time reading these kind of posts any more.

 A

Good luck all.

Really?

I'm truly sorry my online experience has caused you such a great personal discomfort.

I can only hope that your grief may in some way be assuaged in time.

This is it. Fly SNBF or FNBF a couple times, and you'll not only have a weekly event to attend, but you'll meet people to play with at times during the week.

BoS/Bom  32 players................Well you know why .

CLoD  34 players.....................been running same map now for nearly 4 years and at some stages you couldn't get on ATAG servers as they were full . Patch five soon .

RoF  27 players......................again old sim and still going strong and its WWI. ROF has not had any content for quite some time .Campaign is great .

DCS 154 (!!) players.................DCS is always populated and many servers running ` besides DCSworld  single player is just awesome . For jets at least .

IL2 1946 through crappy, outdated hyperlobby 47 players...................Now in the early days 1000+ players every night ........how old is it 10 years plus . And some of the MODs graphics put BOS to shame . Thank you community . 80+ human pilots at weekends in campaigns .

You could say that the biggest thing that killed flight sim is the XBOX .

Thats why we like PC gaming , you wont get BOS on the XBOX or BMS 4.33.

This is to all you guys out there who think you have to be the greatest cyber pilot of all time to give an arena like SNBF or a number of the other online mission based dedicated servers a try.  The fact is, if you learn to fly within a team concept you can be an average pilot and come back home alive again.  Do we sometimes bend a prop, run off the taxiway and have to grab another plane.....you bet we do. So don't sell yourself short, the guys in these arenas are here to help you and with communication on teamspeak you will not be alone....

You can find the immersion and welcomed friend in the sky to cover your six when things get rough and the numbers on these servers are manageable with parameters and a community which will not tolerate anything but a mutual form of respect for one another.  I frequent SNBF  and can attest to the great guys that fly on both sides there.  Is Multiplayer fun?  Yes, very much so.  Do you have the time to fly it?  I think that's the biggest question.
