Trains on the tracks and trucks on the bridge

1. Trains on the track: What are the rules to get trains on the track?  At the station?  Directly on the track?  How close is close enough?

2. If I spawn vehicles on a bridge they spawn in the bridge and not on it.  Y= 0.0 (i.e. no altitude) What does it take to put a vehicle on a bridge?

Trains have to be offset some distance from the tracks. I believe its just because the map doesn't line up exactly (2ft about to the south).

I just place the train on the track (or as close as possible) and it works (in Lapino Winter map anyway).

Re. the bridge question, I tried editing the .mission file to raise the vehicle up to the bridge deck. That was successful, but when you object link a spawner to the vehicle, it returns to the ground-level again. I tried running the mission without the spawner (vehicle enabled) and the vehicle just sank to the ground (or water in this case).

That's been my experience too. I've made an effort to orientate the engine with the tracks (probably out of superstition as much as anything). One thing that threw me was that the game supplies the train. I spent hours once picking out carriages and putting them behind the engine, wondering how to attach them to the engine and to each other. D'oh!

I did the same way back because in RoF that was how you originally had to do it.  Then they changed it in RoF and carried that over to BoS.
