Weegie Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I posted something similar before and got a poor response, thanks to Space_Ghost thought for responding, but I'm going to try again and reach out to those who host servers. Posting on behalf of somebody who is not well and whose circumstances are changing, but who loves their flight simms. The person may be going to facilities where there could be restrictions on bandwith with their connection and needs some guidance on data rates. I'm hoping a somebody can give me some rough guides as to the amount of data/time is required to fly in the servers in BoS and if possible how much is required to host as well. Perhaps some out there can lay their hands on this information, I know it will vary quite a bit but any sort of guides or raw data would be greatly appreciated If for whatever reason you'd rather not post these rates on the forum please PM I'd be delighted to get any news. Thanks for Looking
BraveSirRobin Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I've seen the same question on the RoF forum. No one seems to know the answer.
Weegie Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Yeah, its amazing nobody knows I've seen some programs that apparently monitor individual programs' usage of broadband rate that are available for free, I don't know how hard it's going to be as these guys speak a different language to me (Geekspeek). So when I get some time I'm going to join some servers and run some tests and at least see if I can obtain figures for joining on a server. Later if I get some help maybe I'll host a small private server again to get ballpark figures. Anything I get I'll share. My plan is to do this for BoS, RoF & DCS
