Uufflakke Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Some days are too weird and when you tell it to someone they refuse to believe a single word of it. This is what happened Saturday. I was invited by some friends at their house for going out that evening to meet up some nice women somewhere in town. On my way I thought it would be a good idea to do something about the way I was dressed. To impress the ladies you know. The first clothing store I stopped at was this one. I was so confused that I forgot to buy a new shirt. After my arrival at my friends place I told them what just had happened and the only thing they did was laughing. Nobody believed me. Can you imagine. When everybody was there we decided to go in town to eat something, have a few drinks and go for it! But this was the first restaurant we saw! This was a no go for us so let's have some junkfood not to waste more time. A Big Mac would be a quick, simple and cheap alternative then. But... Okay, okay, no food for tonight. We lost our appetite. Let's head up to a nice bar for some cold beers. And again... And again... All of us were to flabbergasted right now. No bars for tonight then, let's have some alcohol from the local liquor store. What the @#$%^&*!!!! Guys, forget about. No alcohol. Nada. 'You know what, we go to a supermarket, buy some soda or whatever and go back to your place and forget about the whole thing!' I suggested. But that didn't turn out to be a succes neither. As expected. What a deception! When back at my friends place he offered me a cup of tea then. I said 'Yeah, I don't like tea that much but after all this walking through the city I feel like I've walked through the desert for hours and hours. So he boiled the water in this kettle But as he is a friend of my I stayed polite and did not say anything about it. Maybe just my imagination what I see in that kettle. Then he served tea. In this... thing. After all my experiences of today I decided to take public transport to go home and when I looked to the left I saw this passenger. What a day, what a day, what a day. And nobody in the world believes me that it really happened. It goes beyond anyones imagination I guess. 1
DD_bongodriver Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Pictures or it didn't happen.....Oh wait
Cybermat47 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Oh yeah... Hitler's pretty big in some Asian countries, where they don't really know about the 7,000,000 people he killed. Some people even get married dressed as SS officers! Germans must feel really awkward when they visit there.
BMA_West Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 It for sure was not in Gent this time around, Uuf - imagine what name you would have come up with LOL Go figure, even Raaaid commiserates
Feathered_IV Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Yikes! I was once in Hong Kong and walked past a crowded noodle bar. Sitting at a table slurping down his wonton was a guy in full SS ceremonial uniform. Jack boots, arm band, the lot. Maybe Hugo Boss was having a sale, I don't know.
Uufflakke Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Indeed, most of the above images are from Asia I copy-pasted from the net but closer to home in the western world you can find tsimilar stuff. Not only far away in the twilight zone of the internet but in public area. I remember when I was in New York for the 1st time in 1989(?) I was in a shop where they sold all kind of T-shirts. Besides the regulars Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Tour shirts they also had these shirts for sale I was surprised to see something like this in NY. In Spain I happened to see toy soldiers which included Adolf Hitler and Franco at the toys department. In my country when I walk around in a T-shirt with the face of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot hardly nobody pays attention to it. Taking that in consideration I am not surprised to see Hitler items thousands of kilometers from here. Commited atrocities in history is one thing, time and distance is another thing.
DD_Arthur Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Do you often walk around in a Pol pot T shirt?
