I recently bought an X52 this Christmas and I cannot get it to work. I've seen it properly work once, but I can not get it to work properly at all since. I've been following forum instructions to no succession. I have reninstalled the drivers countless times, and still I can get nothing. I really don't know where to go at this point I've all but given up. Any tips would be greatly appriciated. For now I'll have to stick with my trusty Logitech 3D Pro.

Can you give us more detail how it is working on not working? Can you see your x52 in windows game controllers and test its buttons and axis? Or is the problem in game only?

If you're on a z97 motherboard you may be running into its compatibility issues with the usb3 ports on it.  Turning off xhci (and thus usb3) in the bios or getting a usb pci card were the only two options I found that worked.

This is exactly what I had to do. I'm running Windows 10 Pro.  Mine works fine now but it was a wrestle at first.

Hi

I have been having trouble with my Saitek X 52 setup. The hardware is a bit long in the tooth but ought to work. I can get the rudder pedals to work but the throttle will not register with the settings in BoS/BoM. It is detected by the Windows 7 games controller setup but does not function in the settings in Bos/BoM. I have tried to assign it but it will not register. I reinstalled the game after the Visual C++ problems that a number of people seem to have had with the latest update. The game works fine and very good it is too. I also cannot now get the slider or knobs to work as throttles which did work previous to reinstall. On checking Windows 7 claims that all drivers are up to date. The throttle will also not work in CloD or Rise of Flight either but I am not sure if there is a connection. More than likely I need to fork out for a new throttle/joystick. Any recommendations?

Best wishes

Type joy.cpl in start menu box and in Games Controllers select the joystick X-52 > Properties > move the axis and see if graphical bars move.

If not the joystick are defective, or drivers corrupt, uninstall then, re-start the computer and install a new download.

Dear Sokol1

Thanks for your help. I reinstalled the Saitek drivers and can at least get the slider on the throttle to act as a throttle. Odd that the throttle itself registers in the Games Controllers properties perfectly OK. I will probably get a new joystick and throttle in due course as I must have had this setup for about 10 years. Do you have any recommendations?

Best wishes

This means that throttle are OK (no need buy new) and the issue is in game assignments.

Try again, sometimes is need move the axis back and forth several times to be registered.
