Sharing the game across 2 accounts

Hi, I've come back to IL-2 recently and I've been enjoying the game

 

I have a small problem though, my dad would like to have his own account but we're both reluctant to buy a new product key over steam just so that he can have his own username in game.

 

I was wondering if anybody else has created a second username for their account and if so how does one do such a thing? Is there a way to make my account into a "parent" account if you will and create subordinate accounts?

 

If anyone has any information about this it would be greatly appreciated.

uh no, because of EULA, you have to buy your own game as they are attached digitally to you.

Would be nice though (in an ideal world, etc). I'd love my 15 yr son to get into simming, although it'll probably be my 11 yr old daughter. She took off in a Yak on Friday (with me controlling the throttle)! My own pocket-sized Lydia Litviak! If and when she gets into it, she'd love her own call sign!

 

Perhaps if you've got a Steam copy, you can swap your Steam name when your father has a go?

You can't create multiple accounts for one game key.

For a new game account you need to buy a new key.

Of course you can always to go the actual website for IL2 and enter your profile and just change your name there.  It might not show immediately in a server but it will eventually change.

 

Or you can always have a meeting and choose a name that you both can agree on, but that's not very likely I bet.  I know I would want my own callsign/handle.
