Macchis every time!

Well then, here's a surprise - I am flying the campaign and loving it! (How many times are you going to hear that?) I don't like it because it's any good - in fact it's far from it; compared with any other type of dynamic campaign it's absolute crap, but I like it because along with the summer and autumn maps I am finally getting to grips with the aircraft in BoS. It's serving a purpose, even if only a limted one.

However, here's the point of the post... flying as Russian, I run into MC.202s EVERY SINGLE MISSION! Of course, there are some 109s along to keep them company quite a lot of the time, but according to this game the Regia Aeronautica were swarming all over the place! To quote Wikipedia (I know   ) "Only a total of 17 missions were flown with Folgores on the Eastern Front during a four-month period" - and they are talking about the bit before the snows came.

So someone in the team needs to ditch the randomness of the opposition and put in some historical factors. Please...?????

I'm liking the variety (not seeing them every mission mind you) and I'm doing my best to not be too bent out of shape on the historical front.

I will Jason; I really enjoyed it with RoF, as well as the longtime beta campaign that shipped with the sim. For the time being though I'll carry on with this one and put up with the Macchis - it's typical though... I just flew a mission where there weren't any!

PWCG - BOS Edt. is a true game changer.

 

Pat's work here and on the ROF Edt. is truly something to behold.

Guess what! First mission flying I-16s on PWCG and what do I get? Of course, Macchis.   And they blew me apart, too.

Never mind, next mission no sign of them - just some 'easy' 109s. Got one down and two smoking... much better.

There is one Italian squadron in PWCG, operating from the southern part of the map.  They are there but their presence should not be overwhelming.  Luke is working on adding more squadrons, which will further reduce the liklihood of encountering them.
