Didn't the tank shell bounce off the plane? What was it that took the plane down?

It was the tank shell.. and I got credit for the kill. It went through the glass nose, did some main fuselage damage and started a fire before leaving at that odd angle.. The bomb also stuck directly to my tank

Is a "golden" shell, in the front (He 111) view the shell ricochet for left, in the rear vision the shell pass behind for the right side, then "magically" explode at left of rudder, ~1 meter behind the plane, that in a second or two catch fire.

That was interesting, pretty fancy shell damage modelling, if you ask me. Even with the delayed/out-of-place explosion oddity, probably due to network latency.

No, this is due the engine, happens in QM. Give a visual impression of big "hit box".

In the situation itself it did not seem weird.. except for maaaybe the delayed damage effects, as the 111 still had the half second it needed to drop on me (I think I shot an HE shell, so it should have been pretty instantly with the critical damage), of all possible complaints about the engine, for my personal testing and oppinon "hit box issues" have so far not been any issue at all.

but I guess the precison/accuracy of the track recordings (from which the vid was made) is sometimes not a 100%, that´s probably to be considered, here!
