Jade_Monkey Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Hi everyone, I recently updated the TrackIR software to 5.3 and now I can't load Requiem's profile, which I had been using for a long time. I think the old profiles might not be compatible with the updated software? Did anyone have a similar experience? Any workarounds? Thanks! -Jade_Monkey Edited January 9, 2016 by Jade_Monkey
SC_Manu653 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) You need to make new profile.... I know it's sad. At least it's what I have done. Edited January 9, 2016 by 4./JG53Manu653
LoneStar_47 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I had the same problem. TrackIR 5.3 changed the the profile location. Profiles are now stored in C:\Windows\User\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\Profiles. Copy Requiem's profile in that folder. It show up when you start TrackIR. NaturalPoint-TrackIR should have given us information about this before we installed.
dburne Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I had no problem at all loading my profiles after updating to 5.3. I did uninstall the previous version prior to installing the new version.
AwesomeSprawvy Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Same here. I uninstalled the previous version completely. I did take the precaution of backing up my profiles beforehand, just in case, but the new one installed and ran with no issues.
Jade_Monkey Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Thanks for the responses! I ended up making my own profile.
Bando Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 In the past editions, TIR saved the profiles here: C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Profiles In V5.3 they are saved here: C:\Users\your profile name\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5 It took me a while to find them, but they are there. Good luck. 1

And if you can't see the AppData folder (means you can't see hidden folders/files), click on the Start button and put %AppData% in the search field, press Enter and you should be there - OR - change your settings to be able to see hidden files: https://cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder Edited January 9, 2016 by ST_ami7b5 1 2

Voidhunger Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Make a new one and try to find it there Ok, but I can use my old profile without a problem
ST_ami7b5 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Ok, but I can use my old profile without a problem Jasne, ze mozes, pretoze sa pri instalacii prekopiroval na to nove miesto. Ak si ale budes chciet natiahnut profil od niekoho ineho, musis ho umiestnit do C:\Users\your profile name\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5 Inak Ti ho nenajde
