ALLOCATION OF CONTROL IS A NIGHTMARE

Bos have for more than a year ago and I could not play even once .

Though improved in several respects over time. I can not configure the controls.

I have a throttle, pedals and joistick by CH Products , combined with a yoke and two quadrant trhottle (6 axis) by Saitek .

With this configuration I can assign functions for single-engine and twin-engine aircraft.

This is not a problem in the Rise of Flight game , where you can save different patterns. However in the BoS this is not possible , there is only a single pattern .

This means that in the BoS have to be changing assignments axes whenever change of aircraft.

Also the game does not work well with such assignment. The answers are slow and sometimes not working. Often the game freezes and I need to restart my operating system.

I do not know if in the Rise of Flight and the IL2 Battle of Brittain my setup works perfectly , ¿how is it possible that in a much more expensive game does not work ?.

A patch to solve this is necessary, the controls are a nightmare , I could not play and in these conditions, do not recommend this game to anyone.

Its difficult to offer help with just words. Can you post a screenshot of your setup screen. Maybe we can help.

How can you have a joystick and yoke working at the same time.

For the throttle and separate throttle quadrant you should be able to use a single engine and the first engine of a twin controlled by both.

If you do not add the yoke and throttle quadrant  does the game play ok. This will check if its the controller or maybe another problem.

I have faced a similar problem since the last patch.

I use 5 peripherals - MS FF 2 SideWinder, CH throttle, Saitek pedals and quadrant plus a homemade trim box converted from an old joystick.

After every patch the peripherals' ID changed in the game. No problém. I could remap it from time to time.

Now since the last patch three peripherals stick to their IDs but joy and pedals always swing it whenever the game is launched. It is a bit stupid to map those two again and again every time .  Especially when:

1.106 Main changes

...

9. New system preserves your multiple joysticks mappings in case of their ID was changed by DirectX after disconnecting and reconnecting or PC reset (it identifies various control devices by GUIDs and names).

;)

Any help?

In cause of "especially when" quote, the best way is to send PM to Han. I think devs will look into this problem... After winter holidays :-)

This is my first attempt to solve the problem. I will turn to developers if not succeed here :)

The same for me and my Logitech G940, pedals, throttle and stick's ID changed. As i have a lot of button, it's very long to re-affect all fonction. How can we fix this bug?

It sounds like he wants to have individual setups and curves for each specific aircraft like you can in ROF. You can't do that here and ROF is the only sim I've ever seen that in. I think that's mainly because it is a WWI sim and there is NO trim. It's not necessary here to have an individual setup for each aircraft. Have you ever flown any other sims other than ROF?

Just FYI - DCS and CLod allow save individual joystick profiles for each aircraft - in their own way.

Some RoF aircraft have elevator trim at least...

This "because game X or Y have or not" some feature is not motive for game Z don't have or have.

The real reason this game don't have is because "advanced" options means "complication" for new players, and this is not attractive from marketing point of view...

ID's issue is not only game related, as this is caused be Windows 8/10.

To BB Sniper:

I played several simulators, which I like are the "DCS_World (A-10C, Mig-21bis, Mig-15bis, UH-1H, Mi8-MVT2, Flaming Cliffs ....)"," IL2 Battle of Brittain" and "Rise of Flght". In all of them you can set different standards for different types of aircraft (two engines and one engine, joistick or Yoke, 3 axis quadrant or 6 axis)

Only in old simulators as 1946 IL2 or arcade games like War Thunder is not possible saving patterns.

So I think that the IL2 Battle of Stalingrad or the Battle of Moscow,They are very inflexible when it comes to assigning controls.

A game / sim like this urgently needs to create patterns assignments axes and buttons and save.

Meanwhile the game War Thunder is better and cheaper.
