Hallo guys, I'm wondering if I can check TAS speed while in game

Thanks

No? ...so I can assume that the reply is..."no"

Well, the indicator shows IAS, so for TAS you'd have to convert.

There's tables for that on the net.

Thanks for feedback Bando ... I know about conversion tools on the net...I was referring to any in-game tool just for cross check

There's no ingame way to display TAS. Converting IAS to TAS also doesn't work that well, because instrument errors seem to be modelled and they vary between the planes. So plane A might fly at a different speed than plane B, even with same IAS showing and when using same conditions.

So you're better off flying a certain distance and then calculating it against the time you need for that. One big square on the map is exactly 10 km, so it's relatively easy to do. Though you should fly atleast 30 km to get a more accurate result.

Well, you can do like RL WW2 Lufwwaffe pilots, using this (with STEAM Browser can be opened over the game, in overlay):

Set IAS scale over OAT and under altitude scale read the TAS.  ;)

Or if prefer the Russian way:

Click on Red Star for Cyrillic's. No clue on how use this...  :)
