Wierd problems with new update

Just returned home from 3 weeks overseas and since updating have the following problems

 

Every time I start the game I get the "Temporarily disconnected from the internet". After trying again it starts OK.

once started I keep getting a black screen with the "no input" message. the screen returns after a while but the black screen keeps repeating every now and then.

When closing out of the game it stays in the task bar and has to be brought to the fore and closed out manually.

 

I have tried emptying the Update folder and restarting, but the problems are still there.

 

I just tried RoF and that runs fine.

For your "task bar" problem, try clearing the "Seed when downloaded" check box and selecting the "Prefer web distribution" check box in the "Settings" tab of the launcher. Maybe this will solve your other problems.

Thanks Jim. Did what you said. That solved the first and 3rd problems but unfortunately I'm still getting the black screen intermittently with the "No Signal" message? But as stated before only in BoS, not RoF.

 

Just noticed you are from Canada. We have just returned from 2 Weeks in the Rockies and a week just outside of Whitehorse. My 5th visit to your country. 67 and 71 with the Navy then again in 09, 2013 and 2015 with my wife. Lovely country.

I wonder if the no signal message is more a video card related problem, what happens if you reduce the graphucs and screen res.

Good to hear that two problems are solved. Funny, I'm getting the black screen every now and then in DCS. I think it may be my screen saver, which is set to blank. I'll have to remember to move my mouse now and then during flights. I haven't experienced the black screen in BoS though.

 

Glad to hear that you are enjoying Canada. I'm near Toronto but I lived in British Columbia for awhile. It had very beautiful scenery. I think every country has areas that you really have to see in person to appreciate them.

did you update your Track ir to the latest version , 5.3, also update track ir game profiles, 

 

also did you reboot the machine after starting the game and building the update files?

 

and update your Video drivers. this is what you probably missed the last 3 weeks you been gone.

down loaded V 5.3. However when it got to the Wizard assist during the installation process it just sat there spinning its wheels for 15 mins. I cancelled the installation but my Natural Point folder shows I have a different version than yesterday?

 

Man, the Mig is an unstable beast.

I just had a black screen and no signal message for the first time. Happened out of the blue during flight, definitely no blackout. All went back to normal as soon as the plane crashed and the view change to spectate.

I don't experience this in other games.

I was having stutters in graphics and TiR. Make sure you update all of your divers including TiR and video card. Smooth as butter now.
