Anybody have any good suggestions for motherboards with an 1151 socket?

5.1 onboard audio support is a must and as many USB2.0 ports as possible is a plus.

Blue color schemes are great but I can always modify.

What CPU..? Uh... An 1151 socket CPU.

Thanks anyway... It'll be an ASUS Z170-A unless somebody can convince me otherwise.

If it was a unlocked CPU version as a sample, then lots of chipsets could be skipped. If it was a low power CPU for an server or something like that, the MSI ECO could be a choice, etc etc.

Good luck with your mobo and sorry that I was trying to help you, I promise you I will never do that again, sorry.  :P  :P  :P

I have been fan of EVGA motherboards ( as well as graphic cards)  for several years now, have owned a few and have always had great success with them. They are very overclocking friendly as well if that is your thing.

I do not have experience with their Z170 as of yet, I have been running their X-79 Dark for a couple of years now rock solid at 4.5 ghz without a single glitch. If I were looking for one today I would not hesitate to go with their offering.

I have always used EVGA GPU's starting with the 570HD... Never had one of their motherboards, though... I've used the same ASUS workstation motherboard for years... It's managed to overclock quite well as well.

I'll be going with their 980Ti with the ACX 2.0 cooler this time.
