Bailing out ?

Hi, after mapped a key for bailing out, I see regular Bail out of my pilot when flying, parachute open etc..etc.. BUT if I made any emergency landing my pilot rest in the cockpit despite clicking the "bail-out" key  (??).. any advice?.

You can't climb out of your cockpit once on the ground in this sim.

I was wondering about this myself... Here's a possible scenario:

 

• You successfully completed a dead stick landing... however, your fuel tanks have been hit, and your aircraft might erupt into flames within seconds. You better move out!
• You successfully completed a dead stick landing... however, your adversaries are still around and will try to kill you or shoot up the remains of your aircraft. You better move out and hide in the surroundings.
• You successfully completed a dead stick landing... nothing bad will happen, your adversaries are long gone, and your fuel tanks have not been hit. You just want to take a good look at the wreckage

I too wish we could leave the aircraft after an emergency landing.

 

Especially on the second scenario, it might happens quite often when some indelicate pilots are on the server, and there is a 5 to 15 second set delay between hitting the end flight button an the actual exit from the plane.

 

Maybe put this in the wishlist for 2016 ?

For me, having something like the F2 external camera enabled when the plane is on the ground with the engine stopped would be enough. I'm always a bit sad on MP server that have spectating disabled when I (belly-)land my plane. I'd like to look around my plane to see how much damage it took.

I think it would be cool to have first-person when you bail.
