BluFox Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Is there any way to do a freeflight/ Just say pick a certain plane and just practice in it?
Saurer Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 In the Quick mission menue the symbol with the single aircraft, you can start from the parking position, on the runway or in the air
AwesomeSprawvy Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Yep. You can do this by going to "Quick Mission" from the main menu. Once the screen loads to a map, you'll see various aircraft icons. Below is a breakdown of each: -Icon with single aircraft = Free Flight -Icon with two aircraft = 1 vs 1 Dogfight -Icon with six aircraft = Team vs Team You can click the free flight icon and then choose your aircraft and whether you want to start on the runway or at a specific altitude.
andyw248 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 And for practicing in the different aircraft there's a lot of options to consider: Fuel load - has a big impact on some aircraft Ramp start - you definitely want to practice your taxiing skills in those taildraggers Weather - set turbulence to 1 or 2 and experience the difference
Guest deleted@50488 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Just to add to Andy's post, weather modeling in as far as wind shear and turbulence are concerned is very well modeled in il-2 BoS, specially taking into account it's a combat flight simulator. I wish I had that in MSFS...
