loadead up the original IL2 other night after being pissed of over how the "Community " porked the original FM for the FW 190 a4 in 1946, so I took it for a ride and ,,, that thing on rails!!!!

 

Got me thinking of a New Year's Day dogfight on the hyper lobby in the original no mod game.

 

Anyone interested.

I have everything they put out not two feet away from me... I still have three different IL2 versions installed on my HD.

I can't bare the thought of removing them...

Meet too,  I got all CD ever meant for old IL 2. Still fly it on sundays when I have the time with a bunch of mates and occasional offline campaigns. Flying a IL 2 in that game and try to survive is a favorite hobby of mine. Manage to return and survive 157 missions at best

Oh boy, Fox, you got it wrong. I love the new game , it just nice to remember where it came from is all. And befor all the changes as well.

Vanilla install and go shoot some stuff with out all the fancy mods and such.

I'll be popping in on New Years a few times and see if anyone is up to it anyway.

COD , DCS and BOS will never be as complex as old IL 2. Yes it is old, but it got all the maps and planes ever worth flying and the same goes for campaigns. I never delete that game

I  must have 9 installs of IL 2 in its various iterations on my external hard drives. Just cant bring myself to delete them. It has many good features even as old as it is.
