It's too bad there aren't more Daimler Benz engines available. There are more and more 109s being restored now a days

 Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't they find a stash of DB and Jumo engines in a underground bunker whenan airfield was being expanded? Was it Frankfurt or other, can not remember. These engines from there or? Just recalled reading about a stash of WW2 engines found some years ago.

I have stood next to Red 7 when she was starting up, no sim has yet done that sound justice.

 So true. All of them have sounded like lawn mowers compared to the Bf109 with real DB600-series engine. That engine growls and sounds so mean.
