Self sealing tanks

Hi all,

 

I was wondering if anybody have already saw a hint that self-sealing tanks are working in the game ?

 

I don't remember having ever witness a fuel leak fading away, and on two confirmed occasions I got hit in a tank by 7.62 caliber and the fuel leaked all the way back to the base (10+min flight).
