Tenko Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Currently when in the bombsite useing the turn knob, uses the rudder instead of the Ailerons. which is just wobbly and hard to accurately bomb with small bombs, Is there a way to change this? Also, The knob doesnt turn, it only clicks Full left or full right Deflection of the rudder which causes the plane to wobble fairly bad and comes down to pure guess work, Is this a bug? or is there a fix somewhere?
Tenko Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Working as intended. Then why is it a knob instead of a lever? Makes no sense why it would just kick the Rudder like that, every time you use it, it puts the plane into a slip and doesnt seem to be propor,
-TBC-AeroAce Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) I think the 111 and Pe2 auto turn is too slow IMO which makes late adjustments hard. (if realistic so be it) BUT the 110 auto level turn is just stupid!!!! It turns at max then goes back on itself a good 10 degrees. I think auto level turn for some aircraft such as the 110 due to its real life system should have a variable axis type auto level turn Edited December 21, 2015 by [TBC]AeroACE
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I have the level flight left/right turn mapped to my throttle buttons but same effect as using the bombsite switches. At higher altitudes, seeing targets at distance is difficult making it hard to line up properly (in Ultra mode). When you do finally spot them, making adjustments via the Level Flight left/right turn is very difficult, i.e., slow. Either the distant viewing of targets needs to be enhanced or the level flight left/right turn needs to turn faster for the He-111 and Pe-2. I prefer the former solution.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) Exactly the same for me Mr Stick. The pop in distance needs to be better !!!!! Side note thou, is the auto turn rates and sensitivity accurate?? Edited December 21, 2015 by [TBC]AeroACE

Would be better if it Was connected to the Ailerons, but was on a slider that could be controlled by 2 buttons.
6./ZG26_Gielow Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I use mine on the joy hat. So you can control turn bank with quick inputs. The best system was on the old game when you used rudder trim to aim. That was pro!!
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I have to admit to making a recent mistake that lead to my last post above. I was testing various graphic adjustments to try to increase my fps. I adjusted what I thought was the AA from 4 to 2. What I actually adjusted was the terrain view distance from 4 to 2. Oops. I have corrected these. I'll have to do another sortie to check the distance of target resolution.
Sokol1 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) Currently when in the bombsite useing the turn knob, uses the rudder instead of the Ailerons. Record a flight using that thing, you see ailerons moving and not rudder. Click with mouse on knob or using keys (or joy buttons) make no difference. The rudder trim has no effect to control the "AP". And using incremental rudder with keys result in no rudder movement at start, then a suddenly rudder movement that disengage the "AP" and lead to a banked dive... Edited December 21, 2015 by Sokol1
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Actually both ailerons and rudder move when using the Level Flight Left/Right Turn. The aileron movement is very visible. The rudder movement, on the other hand, is very, very slight and you need to get very close to see it. A top down view helps or from the side on the rudder "arms".
Sokol1 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) The rudder movement is for "AP" control the slip. The way to get some "improved" control is "tip" in the key L/R instead press and hold - or click in the knob that have the same effect. Edited December 22, 2015 by Sokol1
6./ZG26_McKvack Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) This is not intended(asked Han about it) Possible fix in January. It will be changed to jaw instead as it was some time ago. Video of the issue: Edited December 22, 2015 by 6./ZG26_McKvack
