71st_AH_Mastiff Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 (edited) nvidia inspector causes me to see through clouds before crossing through horizons, even the firing guns smoke and smoke from other planes cause clipping through horizon. Edited December 19, 2015 by 71st_Mastiff
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 (edited) bump added video proof. how do I not get this I don't like it!!! how do I disable the nvidia inspector Edited December 19, 2015 by 71st_Mastiff
No_85_Gramps Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Inspector only modifies the profiles that are included with the NVidia drivers. Try opening inspector and select the BOS profile and re-set it to the defaults, of course this may re-set anything you changed thru the NVidia control panel.
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 that's what I'm using, so I defaulted everything back now I don't see through clouds anymore. not a good program for online play to see through clouds...
No_85_Gramps Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 not a good program for online play to see through clouds... That's true, I haven't used inspector for a while now but never ran into that problem. What few changes I make now I do in the NVidia control panel.
coconut Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 that's what I'm using, so I defaulted everything back now I don't see through clouds anymore. not a good program for online play to see through clouds... There are quite a few things that affect visibility through clouds: overlays (steam, teamspeak...), custom 3d settings (as you have shown), or regular rendering glitches. For instance, smoke from the ground is often rendered over the clouds, even if you are flying above the clouds. Clouds and competitive online play just don't fit well together at the moment. 1
Guest deleted@50488 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I never had this problem with NI ? Anyway, I use default settings for the game profile that comes with it, and only change the multi-monitor setup to "single monitor", and the performance to "prefer high performance"
71st_AH_XE9O Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 ~S~ I tested this last night with a squad mate, and we could not duplicate this issue Mastiff is having. I am thinking maybe another issue.
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) game run on Steam? yes this version is steam version, I will run it on my other PC version. yep its the overlay, caused by steam. it was fixed now its not. Edited December 20, 2015 by 71st_Mastiff
wtornado Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 (edited) I have been using Nvidia inspector for years I have not seen this happen in my flights. I do not over clock I just increase the fan speed though. Edited February 24, 2016 by WTornado
EisenWaffel Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Yea this should be fixed Edited February 28, 2016 by GreedyPoor
YoYo Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I use NVidia Inspector (in many sims and in IL-2 BoS also) and I can confirm that this is not a problem of this tool. I never noticed this strange clouds like on Your video and for me works ok. Maybe its a problem of Your driver or GPU? 1
216th_Xenos Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Yep, this happened to me a couple weeks back in a PWCG mission. Nvidia Inspector was not messed with. So it's not that. Agree with YoYo.
EisenWaffel Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 It's not inspector it's a bug with BoS and any overlay. When I first started playing BoS I had this bug (and didn't even know it cause I wasn't sure what the clouds were even supposed to look like) but for me it was caused by Steam overlay... Disabling that fixes the issue but now anyone can exploit the bug for an advantage...
