Desmond Doss, Medal of Honor, WWII
I had never seen the story of Desmond Doss and his down right miraculous achievements on the Island of Okinawa. I came across the film "The Conscientious Objector" earlier today. I was going to skip watching and try to find something else to watch. The fact that today is Veterans day is the only reason I decided to watch and I was awe struck at the things this man did to serve his country and still not break his vow not to kill or ever carry a gun.

The articles written don't carry the same impact for me that hearing his story from him and those he saved on the Island, which included some  of those that tried to get him kicked out over CO beliefs, but here are some links to his story for those who don't want to watch the film.
