JediMaster Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I'm guessing Jason will blog as he does for ROF. Not maybe so regular as every Friday, though.
Sven Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Let's get rid of the Friday updates please, only big updates with a lot of things to say, and not so many maybe's, if's and hopefully's! Looking forward to more news about BOS! Edited December 11, 2012 by Sven
Jason_Williams Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 We've always kept our customers informed of our progress. Updates every Friday are not going to happen, but regular updates of some sort will. If you look at what we have done during ROF development you see a lot of information has been shared as we have progressed. Jason 1
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 yes Jason is right they do send out emails too, of updates..
AndyJWest Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I'd much rather have Jason's "let them know when we've got something to show" approach (e.g. the WIP pictures of the gorgeous Felixstowe, for anyone who's not seen it http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=34197 B) ) than a drip feed of "we've done another week's work this week" postings that lead to little more than speculation - though hopefully with Jason involved we won't be having to decode mangled English and Google-translated Russian. Let us know when you've got something to tell us, and ignore the "are we there yet" crowd...
LLv34_Flanker Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 S! I like the style Jason and 777 Studios have of telling stuff on their forum. Info packed and well put out. Not every week or so but regurarly enough anyway. So looking forward on info of this new project And yes..I feel like a kid waiting for a present now again :D

Jason Having followed RoF since those first "Knights of the sky" posts at SimHQ I must say that I am very pleased with the way you have handled the communication since you took over the lead of that project. You already know it, but never promise anything to the IL2 community. Never. We will whine and cry every Friday even before the day is over if an update is not in place - and if it contains images that look somewhat similar to last week you will get rolled in tar and feathers So - just continue the way you have done it with the RoF community - and never promise any dates. Ever. Did I already mention that? And having a solid engine like the RoF engine as a foundation is a great start so we can get away from the current focus on FPS and CTD:s... Good luck! /mazex Edited December 11, 2012 by mazex

Icewolf Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 one thing I'll give Jason Credit for is that he reads the forums and replies when necessary Thanks ! Jason
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) ROF updates usually go like this... Once or twice a month you get a email with the details and a link to the update on the forum, the update usually contain a full update on progress since the last update and what the team will be working on next, also most updates you get a few screen shots or and a video of anything relevant. The update is written in good English and with excellent detail and by someone who knows what they are talking about and has direct contact with all the members of the development team. A perfect update if you ask me. Edited December 11, 2012 by Furbs
