Ya, but its warblunder so who cares?

Il2 46 is a better sim than that.

Oh, I don't know... The exponentially larger playerbase than what IL-2 currently has?

Again, so what?

I don't see how that effects the much higher quality we have here.

If a larger player base means dumbing the aircraft down then it's simply not worth it.

Leave the children their simple games. War thunder is like the ball-attached-to-a-string-attached-to-a-cup of the sim genre.

I have to admit, though I'm not a fan of WT, that it is a very "pretty" product.

Sure, pretty enough, but desperately short on anything resembling creativity. It basically looks like the same North African/Middle Eastern map we've seen a million times in a million games. Lots of sand dunes, dusty ravines and villages made up of chalk colored lego-bricks. Do people really think all of North Africa looks like this? I've traveled through Morocco, Tunesia and Egypt, and I've seen a wide range of splendid landscapes in all the clolors of the rainbow. Especially Tunisia is hugely varied, particularly when viewed from above.

Landscape looks neat to me. :)

Except for the change of textures of palm trees for instance when getting close. That would annoy and distract me too much.

But trees of BOS suffers more or less the same problem when seen from a certain distance.

If they're not winning they're certainly pulling ahead in many respects. Hopefully they'll add animated people one day.

Indeed having worked in North Africa for years it's painful to see maps that make it look like the Sahara desert stretches right to the coast void of grass with bright yellow sand. I've worked near the Mali boarder which looks like the moon/mars with flat reddish terrain, to the east of Algeria where there are sand dunes a hundred ft high, in the North of Libya and Algeria it's quite green and in places mountainous. Most of the desert doesn't look the way people expect, it's not uncommon to see some plants and tufts of grass here and there with flowers springing up and the weather is another thing....it can get bloody cold in winter. I've seen snow fall in the Sahara, rain and then as expected foul sandstorms that can last for days or weeks.

One must consider the size of the maps in WT if they are the same size as BoS/BoM then that would be impressive, I was under the impression that they are quite small

People that have played Battle Duty, Call of Field... certainly think. The WT public. ;)

A paradox: people ask in flight/game sim forums for Malta map, but the nearest Luftwaffe/RA in Sicily is ~130 KM away, a good ~25/30 minutes of flight if the map was in 1:1 scale.

Who is fly this?
