In the DServer Remote Console Settings, do you have the "Enable Remote Console" check box selected? Do the IP address, port, and credentials in the remote console connection configuration match those in the DServer Remote Console Settings?

Note that communications between the Remote Server and the DServer are not encrypted. Use a secure channel.

We have enable the remote console with the command line "RconStart = 1"  into the sds file but we still cant connect to it. did we miss something?

I'm relatively new at this, but here's something to try next...

Check the following in the DServer configuration dialog:

  • Server IP is the current IP address of the DServer PC, not the router IP address. Use the same IP address in the Remote Console connection configuration.

The DServer IP address can change if you reboot the router or PC.

    To determine DServer IP address:
    1. Type "cmd" in the Windows search box and press Enter.
    2. In the command window, type "ipconfig" and press Enter.
The "IPv4 Address" line gives the DServer IP address.

  • "External" check box is selected.

Also, see the "Hosting" section of Prangster's mission building guide for more details re. the DServer.
