Stop the suicide bombing!

I see a lot of ppl try suicide bombing in BoS nowadays, and i really hate in both in real life and in game.

A lot of ppl in this game spend tremendous time to spot an enemy plane. For some ppl this might be easy, but for a lot of ppl like me, it is a very difficult job.
Imagine how frustrating it would be to miss a combat just because your oppnent decided to suicide on purpose.
The suicide bombing is just unrespectful toward other pilots and it is certainly not what ppl would expect to see in a flight sim.

 

Come on, do u guy not have any self-respect at all?

I see lots of people also just ramin in a row of planes about to start rolling because they are just too st**id to vulch properly.

I dont like it as well. But hey, its a game and you wont stop people from doing so.

Hoever the video you postet IMHO shows an accident. I think the guy just set the bombtimer to contact and misjudged the blastradius. Happened to me as well and is not always intentional.

What i experienced quite a bit more often when more actively flying on the DED normal server was people attacking a groundtarget just to finish out just after they successfully bombed their target.

IMHO THIS is really unsocial and uncool behavior:)

dive bombing is not so easy, so id tend to give the benefit of a doubt to something being not intentional. there are so many things that can go wrong on a dive, any of which seem to kill the bomber/straffer and make him crash into things.

Heh. An (at least for me) funny anecdote comes to my mind.

At the very early BOS days 2 mates and me were flying for a divebomb with BF 109s. All three pretty excited diving into the target. Busy to coordinate who is trying to hit where so we dont all throw our bombs to the same spot.

We approach and become faster and faster. Back then the 109 was eeven heavier on the elevator than it is right now at high speeds. While diving in i realize "oh oh. My elevator is pretty stiff. Maybe i better pull a little stabilizer". Then it comes to my mind. "i think i should tell my mates to also pull the stabilizer". So i say "guys make sure to pull your stabilizer". I look back and see not just my bomb explode but als my mates...

My stabilizerinfo came a tad too late:). Stupid nooberrors.

If you struggle with spotting people in normal, perhaps its time to get some glasses or change monitor.

I think most people would agree that it's not hard to spot planes per se; It's hard to know where to look until you've gotten more used to the game.

It looks like hes playing normal, does planes not show up on "radar" there? I have not played normal in ages, perhaps i am mistaken?

In "NORMAL" are "RADAR/GPS/AWACS" besides labels from ~8KM/10KM.

It's a flight recording (Ctrl+R), you'll see the Il-2 "time bar" if you look closer, it's a bit obscured by YouTube's "time bar" (no clue what it's called). Labels are displayed in recordings by default, regardless of difficulty setting.

you can record your antics in the game with lftcntrl=r, and when you play it back all the labels and nuances are in the playback, to remove them hit the key "H".

Looks like the video shows it was an accident with the bomb fuse. Don't see too much of this in the expert servers.

Not a accident, this blast from the bomb should hit you if the timer is set right. See a lot players doing this. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
