I have a question about spawn point in bigger airfields.

Following Prangster's guide, I have placed a spawn point ( for what I understand it's a whole airfield object) in my map using the MCU Airfields->fakefield_rnspawn; moved and rotated it to the best position for aircraft spawn using Airfield Properties and Orientation and I have added few aircrafts.

Now, the guide says that the player's aircraft will spawn in wingtip to wingtip from the left, but since the airfiled has two strip and a couple of parking area I'd like to add more then one spawn area ( I think it's better to define this way rather then spawn point ).

Is it possible?

I'm curious to know what's the difference among Airfield->fakefield, Airport->fakefield_rnspawn and Airfield->fakevehiclefield.

One more question: in airfield property there is an Add/edit chart button. I used it and I have added a line over the airport...and I succesfully moved each leg of the chart along airstrip, but....what's the purpose of this chart?

Thanks

Yes, you can add an airfield object at each parking area or even on the runway.

- fakefield allows player planes to spawn in a line.

- fakefield_rnspawn allows player planes to spawn in multiple rows.

- fakevehiclefield allows player tanks to spawn

When you select an airfield object, the spawn pattern is shown below it in the object library.

The chart is for defining a taxi path for AI planes to taxi to the runway before takeoff and from the runway after landing. You can delete it for spawn points intended for player planes. I'll add some instructions for using the taxi chart later.

Thanks a lot JimTM.

So...if I add airfield object in multiple parking area ... what I see as Aircraft in game map? Two airports? Do I need to set a Group?

You're welcome. You will see multiple spawn point circles, usually overlapping each other until you zoom in. You don't need to set the points as a group.

Yes remember to zoom in ingame so you can select the spawn point. You can name each spawn point to help. E.g il2, stuka, LaGG etc
