DD_APHill Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hi , I have been able to get vehicles to re spawn. They follow the original way points as intended but then they run into the wreckage of the previously spawned vehicle and usually explode or burn. I check "delete after death" in the advanced properties but the wreckage is still there and able to stop the newly spawned vehicle. How long does the wreckage stay before its deleted and is there a way to get them to go around the wreckage?
DD_APHill Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 I am wondering if there is a way to make the destroyed vehicles go away, so the re spawned vehicle, that has the same way points, because it is the same vehicle re spawned, don't run into the wreckage and die. Or get them to avoid, or go around the wreckage.
Jade_Monkey Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Yeah it may be useful for someone else to know in the future
DD_APHill Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Sorry about not re looking at my post sooner. I just increased the re spawn timer to 7 min 30 sec. I timed the burning vehicle and it took approx 7 min 30 sec to disappear. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. To simple I guess. I was expecting it to disappear faster than that.
Lippisch Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Maybe it is possible to add an on-death event linked to a deactivate trigger for the tank? If the deactivate trigger works that way...
coconut Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Use delete, not deactivate. When I have this kind of infinite respawning units, I always delete the old one before spawning a new one, even if the old one was killed. 1
DD_APHill Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 coconut and Lippisch Thanks for the suggestion I will give it a try. Didn't notice the "Delete" trigger. Well its back to the lab for more experiments! 1
DD_APHill Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 Works beautifully, Thanks a bunch!
