It totally makes sense to me. Video game developers (especially the ones making sims) have lots of experience making things look "right". In recent years video games have been ifluencing the visuals of movies just as much as the other way around.

 

Seriously, who doesn't believe, that if 1C/777 had been hired to do the special effects of that TV-series "The Attackers" would've looked 10 times better.

 

Btw: About "decent war films" check the thread I made a couple days ago here on this forum.
