Im a bit confused here, on the profile page it asks for a squad tag and a new password.

 

I take it the new password is if we want to change our existing password at any time, OR,  does my ailing memory serve me correctly and did I read somewhere we will need to create a new password to access the early access because we cant use the forum log on and password?

 

And presumably the squad tag is only required if flying in a squad on line?

you got it right for the "new password" thingy, so don't worry about your memory.

 

As for the squad tag, this is just for people in squad and it's just a matter of simplicity i.e. you log with your pseudo, and if you fill in the squad tag it will then be shown before your pseudo.

 

For the early access I think you will keep your forum informations, which make sense to me as it is simpler for everyone this way but I may be wrong

Like BOS' control panel has pretty much a ROF feel, all I can say is that in ROF there are import/export options for the controls.

But you can count on it that when you interchange your usb connections your setup will end up garbled.

ROF numbers the connected controlers and if you change connections or add more appliances those numbers change turning your setup upside down.

So before installing be sure everything is hooked up and take note where goes what, once setup finished export your options.

Also ROF does not accept multiple joysticks, it refuses pitch/roll axis on 2 separate sticks.

So if you want e.g. a joke available only for bombers, you may either change your regular stick for the joke and make a second game copy exclusively for that particular setup or work from a single game copy and import the different settings after changing the controler.

Ah-hah! I wondered why that kept happening to me in RoF. I stopped playing it as frequently and so was disconnecting things each time. That was such a PITA but now I know what to do.

Quite disorienting when it happens in particular when you count on it, like participating in a squad sortie and everyone waiting for you to take off - happened to me once in a Bloody April I mission.

E.g when I wake up my PC from slumber some USB devices stay pretty much asleep, especially when using a 4-way switch.

If you know that just un- and replugging those solves the problem.

But before you finally come to know that you may have used some aspirins already ...

Also before I put my pc in slumber I'll always desactivate ROF if it is running.

Probably an educated guess the same will happen to BOS.

Buyers of the Premium Edition will get a launcher which will download and setup the program.

For the Buyers of the Standard Edition it does not make sense as you know. You will get launcher and acсess in December.

I'm a bit in the dark as to the process of what might happen tomorrow.Will I have to come up with my Founder number? If so,I've forgotten it ...where can I easily find it?

How will we know its time to download the install...will we get an email or do we just ned to keep checking in at this site?

Is there a way to show FPS, like "fps SHOW START" ? I looked at the settings and couldn't see anyway to activate a console.

 

So far my FPS feels pretty good, I wonder whether a snow setting is less demanding on hardware than a summer one!?

No, use FRAPS or MSI Afterburner or something like it to show fps.

Next Tuesday we get to try out the 109 (and the LaGG from last time).

 

Also, if you could use a smaller font it'd be great.

The access time for BoS is currently from Tuesday 12:00 AM/midnight Moscow time THROUGH Thursday until 12:00 AM/midnight Moscow time. The remaining days the server is shut down so 1c/777 Studios can analyze and make corrections to the game. NEXT Tuesday will feature the release of the 109. Both the LaGG and 109 will be available to gold premium edition members.

 

 

In order to know when the game will be available to you, you'll need to know the difference in time zones between Moscow and where you live. For me because I'm 9 hours behind Moscow, I get access on Monday Afternoon about 3:00.

I just downloaded a 44MB update using the Launcher.exe in bin/game.

Just coming back down to earth with this news of the IL2:BoS... problem with the early access is the days, many I'm sure cannot like me fly test the Sim those days..  work and 3 kids .. 

It would be so great if the access would be anytime.. I have no idea how the Sim is at for now .. but a very early online set with the minimum but 7/7 access would boost some serious $ and members quantity.

Fly the Yak to me is very special since I am a specialist on those plane and flew and built the real planes. i see that la-5 and Yak series has no model names it is already a start of problems..

 

The Sim in the screenshots I have seen looks fantastic great work!

The project’s readiness percent will stay at 32%, because the Friedrich has already been added to this version. We’ve only made some fine tuning which is evaluated as less than 1% of development progress. The numbers will change a bit later when the weaponry is unlocked for you. In addition to that, the next update is going to fix several technical issues and bugs that may have bothered you this week.
