You are correct it is invasive and will spy on you forever. Just send me your key I know someone who wants it.

In order to see ROF in-game footage you need the game + corresponding version, so won't be useful for others anyway which leaves recording by other means.

Yep. I have the CH throttle quad with 6 levers and it will be perfect for the CEM in this game.

Just watched it, so excited.  One quick question. Once I get all my joystick/throttle/pedals setup, will there be a save button for the controller configuration? I'm famous for screwing up my joystick maps and like to keep a backup.  OR is there a simple file in the configuration directory that we can backup for this purpose?

Please and thank you.

RoF has .ini files that can be copied to alternate locations. So yes, it'll be easy to retain all configs even if a complete reformat is conducted so long as the relevant files are saved.

Like BOS' control panel has pretty much a ROF feel, all I can say is that in ROF there are import/export options for the controls.

But you can count on it that when you interchange your usb connections your setup will end up garbled.

ROF numbers the connected controlers and if you change connections or add more appliances those numbers change turning your setup upside down.

So before installing be sure everything is hooked up and take note where goes what, once setup finished export your options.

Also ROF does not accept multiple joysticks, it refuses pitch/roll axis on 2 separate sticks.

So if you want e.g. a joke available only for bombers, you may either change your regular stick for the joke and make a second game copy exclusively for that particular setup or work from a single game copy and import the different settings after changing the controler.

One more thing you'd better back-up but you'll have to do it manually are the snap-views you care to make or to change from the regular default.

Because if a mission starts the plane warps and custom files get added next, like particular skins ect ... so also your custom snap-views.

If for any reason that particular custom snap-view file fails to open you get stuck with the defaults again, also overwriting your custom ones in their typical folder.

If you have a back-up of that file you may remedy on the sport by overwriting the file if not you will have to remake your snap-views and for sure you'll end up making back-ups that time.

I ended up having shortcuts to those files on my desktop in a ROF related folder.
