and with only 22 people on the server.

Sure would be nice if it could be compared to another server. With the same, or more, people on it. Not like WoL is the only one out there. I'm not even sure why so many go to it. The setup is pretty mediocre, and the forcing of load outs is probably the funniest thing ever because so many bitched about being forced to do certain things.

It's okay to force load outs when there's people on the only server, for some damn reason, that has people on it. But in any other circumstance it's "grab the pitch forks!"

Most other servers go too far in one of two directions:

1. Tiny little dogfight missions like Flying(Fighting?) Legends catering to the jousters

2. Very directed "coop" style missions that have more place on private squadron servers.

WOL is the only populated big boy settings(warmed engine is fine and I can live with GPS) server I've seen lately that embraces large-scale objective-heavy missions designed for drop-in drop-out play.  Or to put a name on it, the future of CFS multiplayer.

And/or:

3. All Luftwaffe planes with 1T/2T "Hollywood" bombs and Fw 190 "over Stalingrad" in any place...  :P

As always in CFS/G history people don't want join in one of these dozen of alternatives servers to make then popular, but want that popular ones change to please then...

WoL is good for use attack planes, few people do CAP over target areas - like in other servers the norm is "fly straight for the nearest enemy base".

This happened in the FIGHTING LEGENDS server yesterday and our initial reaction was, "And so it begins."

.. But apparently he was just lost because he flew straight through and we never saw him again.

The joys of not having GPS!
