You'll be back.

As for hit sounds, sometimes I hear them, sometimes I don't. If my pilot is wounded, I won't hear them. I think it may be the server lag too. Most of my MP time is on a Russian server.

As for the glass, I think the scratches are too visible. Big white streaks all over the place. In real life the only time you'd notice those is if you want to notice them by focusing your eyes directly on them.

Its not the scratches. The whole view got milky as hell since last patch. Riddiculous.

I didnt hear any hitsounds since the patch the 110 was introduced. Realizing i am benig shot at only because a part of my plane falls off.

Did you consider a technical issue is causing your glass to appear this way.

I can assure you that the glass visibility hasn't changed at all.

The sky/air looks milky but not the windows

I can see perfectly well through bf 110 windscreen. But the sound thing is annoying. It just doesn't feel right that you don't hear anything, but start wondering why plane is going like this and then notice "ah, I have only one wing left, that's why".

Posted

Just to give an idea about the sound thing being hit or miss, it was that way in reality. In the book Aces Against Germany by Eric Hammel there is an entry from a P-38 pilot that took on a flight of 190s and 109s. He pulled up into the vertical, the P-38 started buffeting and then spun out. Which is odd, a P-38 shouldn't do that. He tried it again, and the same thing happened. He looked down and saw his MP gauge on one of his engines was lower than the other. He then noticed it was damaged. He never heard anything, got shot up and then noticed his engine was under performing because of that. Getting shot up won't always be audible.

Is it in Multiplayer or Single mission?

No surround sound in MP, possibly other new sound issues after last update

If you don't hear hitsounds, go to your settings in game, then to multiplayer, and then set upload and download to 10mb, and all should be fine - as long as you keep in game sound to best possible (100% volume, bitrate high etc). I posted this already numerous times, after finding out, even made an own topic, but due to nobody commenting on it, it get's forgotten after a week or two any time. Some Dev should make this sticky..it's a huge issue, which kinda breaks the game, at least did it for me, and it's so easy to fix. Should be sticky all over the Forums

Just to say that there is actually a bug Iv noticed after the last patch that shuts down all audio related to the gun firing and hit sounds. It is easily fixed by a restart

The glazing of the aircraft looks like it's made from a solid pearl material when viewed from the outside. Is that what you mean?

Good old luftwhiners, still all paranoid making up these 'problems' [Edited] .

The funny thing is usually the loudest complainers are the worst pilots in-game so they have to make up for their lack of skill by whining endlessly.......just my observations over the years

starting to remind me of ubizoo

 looks like a personal attack...

To be honest the phrase "totally porked" is way over the top maybe more constructive to say what the issue is and get good feedback like the sound tip.

For me totally porked is what IL2 Cliffs of Dover was when it was first out of the box. Unplayable. Only the dish cloth map was of use.

Actually, Whinger is a very good pilot.  What's more, he's been here since the beginning - so not one of those Johnny-come-lately types.   The other thing about Whinger - he doesn't shoot pilots in their chutes - unlike those individuals whose societies were so desensitized by decades of Soviet occupation that they can no longer distinguish between right and wrong.

Wulf. My forumname is Winger not "Whinger". Thats just another attempt to start flamewars.

Winger more like "WINner from GERmany" than like "Whiner from Germany" :P

Thanks for taking the apropriate action Moderators.

EDIT: And i gotta correct you Wulf. I HAVE been shooting people on chutes. But that was as a REACTION on other personal attacks or simply VERY poor and unsporty gameplay. Not like Saburo does. Just to upset people:P

And btw. Its not that i would get upset for being shot down. There are people flying that shot me and i them down 1000s of times and still none of each would start to shoot the other on the chute because we actually respect each others skill.

I haven't heard hit sounds.  Ever.  Been in this sim since early access.  My biggest issue with it.

Are you and Winger still dating?

And to browbeat a giant insult across dozens of countries and their societies is absolutely disturbing.  It has no place on a damn video game forum.  Take your xenophobia elsewhere because nobody wants to hear that sort of garbage here.

S!

I'd like to make a couple of apologies.

First to Winger, for getting his name wrong.  Sorry, it was really late here and even though it occurred to me at the time that there was something odd about the way your nik was written, I was too far gone at that point to correct it.

Brano, and anyone else who took offence, you're right, it was unfair of me to say what I did about the impacts of Soviet occupation, so I withdraw that comment unreservedly to the extent that's actually possible.  I was angry at the time but still no excuse.

I'm not going to make any further comments on this issue of 'chute-shooting' other than to say that, IMO, it's introduced an unnecessary and ugly element into the game.  I've always enjoyed the general camaraderie that has been exhibited online between players who, as a matter of course, have been willing to acknowledge skillful play and good sportsmanship on the part of an opponent.  Shooting pilots in their parachutes IMO falls outside of what is acceptable and can only decrease the level of goodwill and further divide the community.  I don't see anything good that can come from it.  I'm sure they won't but I'd much prefer that the devs removed the feature entirely.

The cheap polyester material makes it more useful as an electrostatic rag for doing some dusting than it does for doing the dishes.

Just going to re-quote that. It isn't the only one, I can provide more of pilots suddenly finding their aircraft less craft and more air without hearing a single thing.

Absolutely not every hit will be heard - and for every few pilots you hear about hearing being hit, or those that were hit and survived - many more did not. So many fighters were shot down and so many without their pilots even knowing it happened. Some may be felt - if they hit the armor plating or make solid contact with a solid part of the control surfaces. But to expect every hit to be heard is absolutely absurd.

As a matter of fact, with the weapons being used - by the time the shots were even "heard" (felt) in reality it was already too late. The airplane was going to do enough to maybe run away but more accurately get the pilot to the point of bailing out or crash landing very soon.
